Flaxseed - how to use ?

I've ordered a packet as I read on here that they're good for constipation.
However, the suggested uses I found on-line do not suit me.
smoothies (don't like them)
sprinkled on breakfast cereals (don't eat them)
baked into muffins (don't generally eat sweet things)

What else can I do with them, please?

Ground or whole? I sprinkle them on greek yogurt for breakfast. What kinds of foods do you normally eat?

They help with constipation because they’re a good source of fibre, but so are plenty of other things.

What is your regular diet like? That will help us work out how they can fit in.

Sprinkle on salads, bread with spread/butter, yogurt.

We buy mulled and sprinkle them on porridge.

What are mulled flaxseeds?

I grind them up in a coffee grinder and keep in the fridge. I sprinkle them on everything I eat as they are supposed to lower blood pressure. They don’t really taste of anything. Drink plenty of water and build up to a tablespoon. Also prunes, and dates. Water is key though.

Thanks for the replies.

I've ordered whole, but can use my wet/dry grinder for a powder or paste.
I'm an omnivore, enjoy eating & cooking world-wide cuisine.
Breakfast is usually one or more of bacon, eggs, toms, mushrooms, avocado; maybe cheese on toast if I'm in a hurry.

The H&B site had nothing that appealed, I don't normally cook or eat sweet things. I liked the chicken recipe on the BBC site.

I add them to my smashed avocado on toast with pumpkin seeds too and an egg on top.

I also sprinkle on my lunchtime soup.

Be careful because there are certain medications that flaxseeds don’t mix with such as blood thinners & bp meds.

Get some Psyllium husks, they are brilliant for constipation - psyllium is a natural, bulk-forming laxative that effectively relieves constipation by absorbing water, adding bulk and softness to stools, and promoting regular bowel movements, making them easier to pass.
You can mix them with water and drink immediately but I mix it with fruit juice and it forms a gel which is easy to eat (and you can use as jam) then have a glass of water.
Have a google.
Grape Tree shop sell it but I buy 1kg bags online from Wholefoods.

I agree with you, nothing worse than forcing something down your neck if you're going to gag in the process, or if they interract with meds! FWIW I only use ground chia and flaxseed, I couldn't bear the texture of the unground variety. I put it on my yogurt. But you are not keen I see!

There are other sources of fibre out there, so get googling for what you might try.

And feed the birdies with the flaxseeds. They will love it, but grind them a bit for the smaller birds.
