most ethical online food shop?

I'm after doing some of my food shopping online to make it a bit easier then going to the market every other day and also because tins and that are hard to get back on the bus, but asda and tesco are both a bit evil and I think I'd feel too guilty. Is there a better shop, or should I just bite the bullet and stop being a wimp and get on tesco?

if you're really serious about being ethical in the long term then eating more unprocessed foods and avoiding supermarkets is really the way to go
you can buy in bulk and save waste, packaging, transport, etc etc etc

but sorry this is not the answer you were looking for, I know
I was in the same state of mind as you and desperately looking for an ethical supermarket - there isn't one
I did manage to cut out supermarket shopping through a combination of goodness direct / Suma co-operative / local greengrocers and local organic farm delivery, but it all went tits up once I stopped putting the effort in, and I am almost completely back to crappy supermarket shopping again
bizarrely the things that got me back in were cheese and yogurts - my shop stopped delivering them and once I was in the supermarket buying those, it just grew and grew until I even buy a fair amount of veg from them again now

mind you am heavily pg and lazy to boot

hope you find a solution that suits you

I'm a fan of Riverford, though others aren't. I think their veg is good value (not as cheap as the market but it lasts; cheaper than the same stuff at Sainsburys). Milk and yoghurt are about the same price as organic/Yeo valley in Sainsb (ie a good bit more than 'standard' stuff). They do meat. And various other bits and bobs.
I find that we can manage on that once a week plus one proper shop (one Sat at Sainsb, one Sat at local health food shop)

I think the most ethical supermarket is wholefoods, and I know the co-op scores highly too, but for online delivering supermarketstyley its waitrose.
