Pear cake recipe - help please

In autumn I froze batches of pears from our tree. I’m defrosting a batch now to use to make a cake but I need a recipe recommendation. Not one that has the pears on top (the kids just pick them off) so something that incorporates chunks of pear or uses them as a puree maybe?

Pear upside down cake?

Dorset apple cake but with pears - that has chunks in?

I think nigella has a pear and chocolate cake dessert?

I’d do a standard sponge cake recipe and fold in pears and desiccated coconut

I sometimes make this bakewell cake with pears instead of raspberries.
I also sometimes make pear and chocolate tart, although I don't have a perfect recipe for it, because I'm mainly trying to recreate one I used to get in waitrose but was discontinued.

This simple almondy cake is a great way of using up pick-your-own raspberries

I do the BBC basic muffin recipe for my pears with added sultanas and cinnamon. I bake it in an oblong tin then cut it into 2 inch squares and freeze them. Defrost for 1 minute and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of maple syrup.

I make the River Cottage/Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall Pear and Almond Pudding this time of year. You caramalize the pears in a bit of butter and sugar and use some ground almonds in the cake mix and then bake it like an upside down cake - you could also just have chunks thorughout the cake too if you preferred. It tastes great with ice cream, cream or custard, greek yoghurt etc or on its own.

Try this but swap the apples for pears. I also used regular milk, not plant milk and it was delicious.

They are great in apple (&pear) crumbles.

Pear frangipane tarts are amazing and really simple - as long as the pears are not too soggy. Use a light puff pastry and serve with vanilla ice cream

Recipe link not working but the one on Spruce Eats website is good (if the pear is soft don’t slice it)
