Anyone got a teppanyaki grill?

I got one for Christmas and am trying to think of things to cook on it. I’ve had a quick google and there are lots of posts about people cooking steak on them (which my kids wouldn’t eat) and seafood which none of us really like. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

DH’s friend has one and he cooks quesadillas and pancakes on it

You can cook lots. Salmon (assuming thats not in your definition of seafood), houloumi, chicken strips, miniature burgers, red peppers, asparagus, mushrooms. Anything really! Just smaller chunks or strips.

I have a Raclette grill which is similar. I do all kinds of meats but thinly cut in small pieces and sliced frankfurters work well. Sliced Mushrooms, boiled potatoes and peppers are also good. I think prawns would work nicely. With Raclette you have little trays to heat up cheese under the grill.

Another vote for halloumi too, very nice.

Oh and also chorizo is good too.

Who bought you that and why?

Thanks for the ideas, the only thing I had thought of was making little quesadillas and tacos. It was from my partner and girls so I want to make sure that we use it so they don’t think that I’m ungrateful!

Quesadillas, parathas, smash burgers, chicken skewers, pancakes, anything really where you need a greater surface area.

We use it for cooked breakfasts or bbq type meals (sausages, burgers, steaks etc), especially when having people staying because it’s a large surface to cook things on at the same time. We don’t use it a lot otherwise as ours is stored in the shed and it’s a faff to get it out! Re cleaning, if you look on FB everyone says it ‘just needs a wipe over with a paper towel’ to get it clean. Yeah right! That’s another reason why we don’t use it a lot, however much we wipe it, it never gets perfectly clean. Maybe we’re doing it wrong?
