Good morning!

I am hosting a small Christmas gathering in the limbo between Christmas and new year. It started with a couple of friends. However I have got a bit invite happy and invited a few more. There will likely be 6 of us. Maybe more if I can’t keep my mouth shut.

Some will be joining me straight from our workday so it will be a case of going home (with them immediately behind me) and having to get together some drinks and food.

I just want to serve buffet/picky bits. I have a free afternoon the day before to prep where possible. No vegans/veggie/allergy.

Just need some bits that I can possibly prepare ahead and whack in the oven/air fryer on the evening when we all arrive.

Thanks all! 🎄

I'm doing a small lunch which I want to be able to prep in advance and serve easily because I'm working that morning, so I'm here also seeing if anyone has any ideas.

So far all I can think of is those nice Italian antipasti trays with some salad but that's not quite enough. Have also thought pigs in blankets but not sure what you serve them with.

Also quiche but what's a good decent brand, some of them are shite.

Smoked salmon?

I can think of lots of random things but not things that all work together at the same time.

Greek/mezze themed:
Falafel (shop-bought, not worth making your own)
Strips of flatbread and /or pitta
Humous and taramasalata
Olives
Goat’s cheese mini muffins - I use a lovely recipe on the Tesco food website
Cubes or skewers of feta
Chicken skewers
Cucumber batons
Red pepper strips
Cherry tomatoes
Grapes, fresh figs, dried apricots
Baklava squares/bites

Greek themed one is good.

I've commented on a few similar threads recently which I'll post if I can find them. Some other ideas:

-Humous/dips with celery/carrot/pepper sticks
-Olives
-Those little peppers stuffed with cheese
-Chicken drumsticks. Put foil on the bony end as a handle and its a bit more substantial than crisps/dips

Brie and cranberry parcels are quick but always go down well.
maybe something fishy - smoked salmon blinis or prawns
