Bought neck of lamb fillets to cook in slow cooker but don't know what to put with them. Any ideas.

What do you mean you don't know what to put with them?

DH has twice recently made delicious casseroles with neck of lamb. I don't know that he did anything special - chopped up the lamb small, chucked in a few herbs, normal casserole vegetables, lamb stock, thickened the sauce a bit with flour. He may have added tiny pieces of streaky bacon too. Neck of lamb is delicious. Enjoy!

oh

I don't have a slow cooker.

I make kebabs with them or curry them, or use in a moroccan-y casserole [[http://www.waitrose.com/recipe/Spiced_Lamb_Cassoulet.aspx thus]. They don't need long cooking.

Do not barbecue them they end up looking like horses penises!

Hot Pot.

Put onion, herbs if you have em. Carrot/Swede if you want and then potato. Season, add stock and switch on. All for price of a lightbulb as my DH likes to say.

You might want to thicken the stock towards the end, but the potato will break down and thicken it somewhat anyway.

Make a type of kleftico in the slow cooker.

Put wedges of onion, chunks of carrot, chunks of celery, large chunks of potato coated in a bit of melted butter, a few drops of lemon juice, and some dried oregano and dried mint. Just bung it all in the slow cooker and later on you'll have the most splendid meal. Serve with rice and salad or whatever else you have. Yum!

You can also do this in a casserole in the oven.

Thank you. They sound lovely. I just had a mental block as to what to flavour with etc to make tasty. Thanks all.
