How does a fairy cake transform into a cupcake?

Because there is a difference

Comeoveneer makes such beautiful cupcakes and has posted a recipe for frosting, any others? Where do you get your supplies? Do you use a bigger buncase?

Please can you post recipes and links to fabulousness - I am determined to perfect the perfect cupcake!

(If Cod drops in; I know you hate cupcakes but don't look in on the thread if it's going to annoy you )

Dizzy - I still have your yogurt recipe from that thread and want to try it - do you do them in muffin tins or normal bun tins?

squiffy there is a link to a thread a wee bit further up that gives loads of receipes

shall post the sites for supplies too

dizzydixies · 10/06/2008 22:10

squiffy - wee tins because I use them for the kids

choccypig · 10/06/2008 22:12

Apologies if I might have given the impression I can cook these things. In reality I can only do muffins. Because you just bung it all in and hope for the best.
With sponge you have to mix it in the right order. Which is Beyond me.

I'd like an invite to afternoon tea from Squiffy - I could offer constructive criticism.

dizzydixies · 10/06/2008 22:17

littlewonder but only over the fact you have a waitrose

SquiffyHock · 10/06/2008 22:21

Nooooo! Not afternoon tea with me - I'm firmly in the Waitrose camp with aspirations of becoming a domestic Goddess. In reality, I just buy cookery books.

Now Dizzy seems to be an expert in these things.... (great links though, DS's b'day coming up - I will dazzle!!)

am definately NOT an expert, I just like cake and like to potter AND it rains a lot here so making cakes is something that dd1 and I can do together!!

dizzydixies · 10/06/2008 22:26

ComeOVeneer is THE MN cakeage expert and I'm constantly wittering on at her for advice, her cakes are FABULOUS - you should see her links

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 10/06/2008 22:42

Any offers?

I could bring my shake n bake brownies?

dizzydixies · 10/06/2008 22:43

Margo, have just posted receipe to the most divine cheesecake but it is the easiest thing in the world if you're needing to impress!

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 10/06/2008 22:58

That looks lovely - I am sad you're not local to me. It's a long way for afternoon tea. Do you just fancy putting me up for the weekend.

dizzydixies · 10/06/2008 22:59

all welcome in house of dixie!
