I dont eat citrus fruit. I know i should but each time I try all the fruit is sour and I end up throwing it away. I bought sone raspberries today and they were so sour they set my teeth on edge. I had to put sugar on them in order to eat them. I've stopped buying oranges and apples as its the same with them. Does anyone else have an issue with citrus fruit? Its well over a year since I bought sweet oranges so I just dont bother anymore

There's no "should " about eating any food.
Just don't buy them, or force yourself to eat something you dislike.

Raspberries aren't citrus fruit...I'm sure you know. It's the wrong season for raspberries. Try in high summer with British grown berries when they are still warm from the sun and haven't been in cold storage. I think the season for Mediterranean oranges (for example) is January. May well be wrong but if you tried s navel orange in say Feb you'd find it a totally different sweetness to fruit which has been harvested unripe and then refrigerated.
But also agree that you don't have to like everything....and if citrus isn't your bag, then so be it.

Citrus fruit contains citric acid. It is, by definition, sour.

Citrus fruit isn't particularly vital to a healthy diet, it's usually inedible to those with acid reflux and sensitive stomachs so no big deal to avoid it. Buy fruit grown in your country in season, British raspberries are no good now, try a winter fruit. I and my children hate fruit due to it's unpredictable nature. We love bananas and melons, occasionally apples. As long as you eat veg and get enough vitamins, don't worry about lemons and oranges!

I only bought the raspberries because they are high in folic acid a d I am low on folic acid at the moment. However I can eat broccoli and advacados which I love

It’s your palate. You’re expecting fruit to be sweet, but it isn’t. It’s tart. It’s meant to be. If you want to eat it for health, then eat it in small amounts whether you like it or not. You will get used to it.

It’s a bit like drinking sugary tea or coffee. I was raised on sugary hot drinks. I didn’t want to be eating loads of sugar so I stopped adding sugar to my drinks. Tasted like shit to start! But I got used to it. Now I don’t like sugar in any drinks. Your palate will adjust if you persist.

That said, you don’t have to eat loads of fruit and vegetables are certainly healthier. So you don’t have to force it either.

I have had satsumas in the past which were very sweet, but lately they have been sour. I just cannot stomach sour fruit. The raspberries i mixed with plain yoghurt and ate them by the spoonful but they were so sour. I had some raspberries left over and ate them one raspberry at a time and although it was sour, it was OK because it was just one. I dont know how people manage to eat fruit salad
