Does anyone know anything about these? I'm interested in reducing the monthly spend in our household. Can you buy fresh food from them or is it just dried stuff?

Depends which one, but you can get a lot of different stuff. Have you got a local one near you?

There's a big local one here that sells mostly dry stuff, as well as fruit and veg and bread, all organic, and the prices are cheaper than wholefood shops or supermarkets. I buy in bulk things like rice, flour, dried fruit and nuts and lots of different flakes (oats, rye, bran, wheat) to make muisli.

Suma is a co-operative too.

Of course, there is also the Co-Op, obviously a food co-operative, and a very succesful one too.
