but really they taste like cardboard. I fell for it again today, I feel conned.

Oh man I have to disagree, their berries and cherries one is delish but I have it on top of bran flakes as a way of making it a bit more economical - plus you can have too many berries and cherries otherwise!

mamamamama · 04/06/2008 20:29

I'd rather have Coco Pops

nice packaging but I don't like crunchy cereals

AnyFuleKno · 04/06/2008 20:46

I like the taste (and the packaging) but it's too bloomin expensive, double the price of any other cereal. Have to resist the packaging!

uberalice · 04/06/2008 20:59

They're delicious and they've been on offer recently. I wouldn't fork out for full price but definitely worth stocking up when they're reduced.

iamdingdong · 04/06/2008 21:02

of I love the berries adn cherries one, I had alpen at my brother's recently, like sawbust, yuck! sadly though, whilst I can manage to buy it jsut fo rme, my twins have jsut taken a shine to it no more for me

OverMyDeadBody · 04/06/2008 21:02

Nicer and cheaper to make your own. I buy all the ingredients in bulk from a christian co-operative and mix up my own, with all my favourite additions, and keep it in a small lidded bucket.

Or make my own crunchy stuff, from a recipe I got on MN, from F&Z I think it was...

Their packaging is nice but definately not worth the hefty price, it's not even organic.

roisin · 04/06/2008 21:16

I love them: I buy the little boxes. Because I don't fancy muesli every day, and if I buy a big box if it goes stale before I finish it.

Piffle · 04/06/2008 21:19

nah gorgeous
cherries one
the spent ones are gorgeous....
which one was it you had?
buy in bulk at bogof one box lasts me 3-4 weeks

I totally understand. I once bought it, being totally aware that I actually dislike muesli

they look too heavy and brown to me in that packaging

i do eat the jordans super granola with my oats and frozen fruit for breakfast tho

mamamamama · 05/06/2008 18:09

It's only me then.

I've tried loads of them, including the cherry one. The final straw yesterday was the kids one with apple in - I ended up apologising to DS for giving him such tasteless cereal and gave him Cheerios instead. Dorset's went in the bin. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big muesli fan and usually make my own. Doreset's just don't do it for me.

mamamamama · 05/06/2008 18:10

That was a phonetic Doreset.

I keep the individual size packs in my desk drawer & pile them on top of a muller one a day yoghurt/fruit corner. Dee-lish.

ThingOne · 05/06/2008 18:12

Love it! I always used to make my own but now I buy Dorset whenever it is on offer and get to try lots of different flavours instead of my boring mixture. And they have no oat dust which is a miracle.

RosaLuxembourg · 05/06/2008 18:12

I have had the cranberry one for breakfast every day for the past four years. No other flavour will do.

sfxmum · 05/06/2008 18:13

every single one of them with possible exception of extra fibre one are delicious imo

MrsGuyOfGisbourne · 05/06/2008 18:25

DH is a sucker for these, which is why they litter the kitchen as we don't have enough space in cupboards.
Meanwhile DC and I have egg, bacon, tomato, mushrooms and toast for breakfast .
