My dd is 14 months old and is getting bored of her breakfasts, and the biggest barrier to giving her something different is a total lack of imagination on mine and dh's part! She's had a weetabix with some baby porridge sprinkled on (apple and blueberry flavour) for oooh...too many months now. She's a total toast addict and has a bottomless tummy for the stuff, so we want to give something else instead!
All ideas welcome...

The banana pancakes sound yummy lovecat, how do you make them please? I am not a natural cook!

my lot love chocolate brioche rolls warmed up for breakfast

If she likes toast - give her toast! I think that generally, children don't like variety - parents do! My brother had peanut butter and honey sandwiches for lunch every day all through primary school!

My ds loved olives for breakfast when he was a toddler. He called them oblobs. [soppy mummy emoticon]

We have multigrain stars for breakfast and at the moment we also have coco pops stars and moons DD1 managed to persuade dad to buy them when they went to get some milk and the paper.

We also have crumpets on offer most weekends, or bacon, egg and beans.

During the week though it's cereal with a glass of innocent smoothie and then a piece of fruit if she's still hungry.

Peanut butter sandwiches on brown and a cup of milk. Sometimes brioche and a banana. Sometimes a hard boiled egg.

DD (7 months)

Redy brek/weetabix with banna mixed in/porridge

Toast cut into soliders as finger food

Fruit slices (pear,apple,etc)

She loves breakfast, she happily eats more at breakfast than at ant other time of the day.

Ds is 20months and has a banana and a slice of toast. He's starting to show an interest in my cereal too but I'm a big kid and have co-co pops, and I'm not sure how good a brekkie they are for tiddlers!

any or all of the above plus a sort of basic muesli - made from porridge oats, a handful of raisins, enough orange juice to cover it, left to soak overnight.
