Containers for batch Cooking Cottage Pie, Lasagna etc

I've been using lidded Pyrex dishes for years but now DD is eating larger portions they aren't big enough and they are a bit out of budget to replace now as I want to do some batch cooking and start filling the freezer. I plan on using them to make crumbles etc though.

I liked that Pyrex could go in the freezer, microwave, oven and Dishwasher but now I WFH it might not be such an issue to use metal?

Has anyone used the stainless still containers with plastic lids? I want to avoid using disposable if possible?

I use the glass ones from IKEA, with plastic clip on lids. Safe in freezer etc. Available in quite a few different sizes and cheap. I think the tough plastic re-useable freezer bags look good, but I am trying to avoid plastic as much as possible.

Highly recommend Souper Cubes.

I have these, they come in different shapes & sizes.
I think with your DD eating bigger portions it might be easier to make individual pies and lasagne... or just freeze the filling and assemble when needed.

I use these too. I use the medium size one that’s rectangular shape, does 3 of us and usually a leftover portion for lunch the next day

Ikea freezer bags are really good quality and can be re-used umpteen times. And our local council recycles plastic bags so when they have finally had it, they go in the recycling bin.

I like the ikea 365 range. The 1ltr size comes in glass , plastic, metal and I think there’s a collapsible one , and the lids are bamboo, plastic and silicone.

I’m not sure how that size compares to what you were using?

Sometimes I cook those meals in a big dish, part freeze them and then cut into portions and wrap them in parchment. They stack well, and take up less space than boxes.
