Can you make and freeze homemade pizza bases?

I love homemade pizza but I'm very very lazy, so I never make it as often as I would like to eat it. So I was thinking, could I make some bases and partially cook them, then freeze them, and then when I want pizza I just have to add the toppings and cook?

But how long to part-cook them, and do they freeze ok, and cook from frozen ok? Anyone done this?

I wouldn't part-cook them, would just top and cook from frozen

I freeze mine uncooked, then cook from frozen. I also cook the whole pizza and freeze that, it defrosts beautifully. It's a handy standby for picnics and packed lunches, you can freeze it in whatever portion size you want.

What do you freeze them in? Do you put them on something firm to keep them flat? I like mine very thin and they're extremely floppy.

Freeze them on a paper plate or a tray lined with baking parchment, then when they are frozen you can slip them off and pack them into a plastic bag or container.

As ecoworrier sais, freeze them on trays lined with baking paper or wax paper, then when they are frozen you can stack them i the freezer with the paper between each layer.

THis sounds like a FAB idea - what's the pizza base recipe?

Fantastic, thanks for the info. I'll have to give this a go.

Can I just ask, how long do they take to cook from frozen?
