Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for lightweight stainless steel saucepans please?
I can't lift much for medical reasons. We've been using basic Ikea pans, (3 set plastic handles) which are incredibly light and do the job - however - of the three, two have now lost their handles! Thankfully both during washing up, not while carrying boiling contents to the sink. Obviously I'm not going to be repurchasing those ones, or using the third anymore as at this point it seems inevitable it will also break. So dangerous. Their spot welding just doesn't hold up.
I'm looking for plain stainless steel, glass lids, cool-touch handles that don't need a cloth to move them. But they do need to be very lightweight - ideally with handles that don't break after a few years! Everything I'm finding so far is well over a kg for medium sized pans, and getting up towards 2kg for the larger ones.
Any ideas?
Thank you
Ps - I don't use non-stick. I'm aware there are 'safer' options these days, but I've found those extremely difficult to clean properly after something's been burnt, and they scratch. Plus the non-stick part doesn't ever seem to last all that long.
