My focaccia hasn’t risen & it’s like crusty breadGrinill attach a photo. I followed the recipe and proofing time exactly. Where have I gone wrong?

If you're desperate to start making bread would you consider buying a bread maker? I always wanted to be able to make bread but, despite being a competent cook, I could never get it right. My bread maker never gets it wrong - it makes perfect focaccia dough.

I would say if it tastes ok then it's the size of the tin, try a smaller one so the bread is deeper then it'll be softer.

I use the recipe by lacebakes on instagram and it never fails. Use the right size tin.

Bread making takes practice and a bit of intuition, the more you make, the more you learn. Sometimes the recipe amount of water is too much/not enough for your flour or how humid the weather is. Sometimes it takes more or less time to rise because your room is hot or cold etc.

Keep going.

I finally mastered proving when I read a tip to prove in the tumble dryer.

You stick the tumble dryer on for a just few mins, then put the dough in the warm dryer to prove.

It worked for me!
