Like the idea of getting a meat box but are they good value for money?

Plus never cooked a whole chicken in my life and wouldnt have a clue as to what to do with it (will it still have the liver, kidneys and other organs inside )

You need to get as big as you can afford, the bigger the more value for money, can't remember why.

The innards come in a little bag.

I stopped as economising but found the portion sizes stopped feeding our family comfortably as the kids have grown(they are now (4,4 and 3) couldn't afford to go up to the next size plus the kids only really like chicken, sausages, mince etc. Organic meat is a lot denser and they didn't seem to like the pork, lamb(probably would now) so we ended up eating a lot of it.

When we're feeling rich I'd do it again. Order one to see as you can get just one now and again, however it suits you. There is a nice selection in them and if you don't eat a lot of meat(like us) it would last a few weeks just make sure you get the right portion sizes for your family.

Riverford is 5 mins away from us so I tend to go to the shop instead now when I can afford it(which isn't often)

in a word, yes.

but only if you have decent freezer space.

If you class remortgaging your house good value for money then I guess they are good.

thank you all for the replies, we dont eat much meat so will make the freezer will be as empty as possible.

MM, our DC (2 and 4) are the same although DD only eats pork so we'll see how the box will go down.
