Fussy eater toddler

Hi everyone I’m hoping for some advice as my almost 2 year old has become really fussy with his eating. He has been teething but even when he’s not lately and well in himself it’s still the same. When I was weaning him he would eat or at least try most things I put in front of him now he won’t touch most things, has even stopped feeding himself with the spoon and fork. He pretty much will only eat dry/crispy foods such as crackers, breaded fish or chicken, toast, cereal. I really struggle with his lunches when he goes to his childminder as they tend to go out for the day he won’t eat sandwiches, wraps, cheese sticks, fruit (only banana) so making a good packed lunch for him is impossible. We encourage him and sit together meal times, make it fun. Now the only way I can get some goodness in to him is if I make a mashed dinner like salmon veg or beef casserole and feed him myself. I know that probably isn’t helping matters but if I don’t do that he would eat just dry foods. He is my first so I’m still learning with it all and I get children go through fussy stages and won’t eat everything. When he was younger he’d eat sweet potato chunks, mango fingers, peas, cucumber all sort of wet foods with different textures I just want him to eat better and enjoy it. I haven’t stopped putting different things in front of him each mealtime is this just a phase but it seems to be going on a while ?! Thanks x

Don't make a fuss. Make mealtimes as boring as possible and don't show any interest in what, whether or how much they eat. Provide a variety of things at each meal including at least one thing you know they will eat, and leave well alone.

This could be a bit of a sensory issue, and making a big deal out of food is the worst thing you could do right now.
