Help how to make pureed food appetising and freeze it?

My dad is currently on a pureed diet due to a cancer diagnosis. He’s always loved food, so this change has been really difficult for him. He lives alone and isn't very confident with cooking, so I’m trying to find ways to help him stick to the diet while still enjoying his meals.
I was considering using M&S tinned steaks and chicken in sauce—blending them and serving with mashed potato—as they’re usually rich and tasty. I’m also looking into preparing and freezing meals for him, like a pureed fish pie (blended fish in a creamy sauce with mashed potato on top).
Does anyone have other meal ideas that would work well pureed but still feel satisfying and familiar? Also, what's the best way to freeze and store these meals—what kind of containers work well? Would he just need to defrost and microwave them, or would reheating in the oven be better?
Any suggestions or tips would be really appreciated. I know how much food means to him, so I want the meals to feel as “normal” and enjoyable as possible. They’ll also need to be calorie-dense to support his strength. I may look into ordering ready-made meals as well, but I think homemade—especially using M&S products with cream and butter—might be more comforting and tasty for him.

Pureed meat and fish sounds awful. I get why you are struggling

id go with mash and gravy which you’ve already thought of and meaty blended soups.

custards and ice cream with pureed
fruit

and then add protein powder to everything plus milk and cream.

Chinese takeaway containers are great and can go in the microwave

What about soups?

Yes, I have thought of soups. Trying to think of home made ones with a bit of colour. I've made him a parsnip and chedder soup today but it's all very bland colours. Can this be frozen and would you defrost before cooking? I want to make to make it look tasty to. If he doesn't eat I'm afraid he will give up 😔

I used to puree food and then use a piping bag to kind of shape it on the plate so eg puréed chicken in white sauce I would shape into shapes to resemble chicken pieces. Puréed green veg blobs to look like peas and beans. Sounds weird but it just looks better on the plate.

When my FIL was restricted to puréed meals the hospital kitchen sent them up plated up to look like an ordinary meal. We looked at “it’s made for you” for when he was discharged, the level 4 purées look very similar. Unfortunately he took a sudden turn for the worse so we never needed meals for at home

Beetroot soup is a lovely colour!
