Wheat/milk/egg allergy party food ideas

Hi all
DS (3) is having a birthday party in a few weeks and one of the kids coming is allergic to wheat, milk and eggs. Any ideas for some separate party food I can do for them?! Struggling to find something that covers all 3 allergies!

Thanks 😊

Hi, as a mom of children with allergies I take food they can eat to parties/weddings/day outs so it might worth asking the child’s parents to bring a packed lunch with them.

otherwise;
pizza- using wheat free base and dairy free cheese.
Make your own cupcakes using wheat free flour, water instead of milk, vitalite instead of butter and ‘free and easy egg replacer’ instead of egg.
Veggies and hummus
Fruit platters
Party sweet bag (just check label as a lot if gummy sweets contain wheat)
crisps (again check label)

I would already have these alternative ingredients in so would find it no trouble, however if your not used to catering for allergies it’s a big expense and worry which is why allergy moms normally take food they know their child can eat.

I would speak to his or her mum and tell her that you're struggling with ideas. I would even ask that she provide the food. If the child has serious allergies, the mum might prefer this option, rather than risk her child having a serious reaction to something

I honestly wouldn't cater for this yourself. I wouldn't want to run the risk or have the headache of finding suitable food. Ask the mum to pack some food for the child. She must surely be used to this request.

As the parent of DC with multiple allergies, I would have happily supplied food but also really appreciated when other parents were able to cater for him.

Some ideas for you;

Oat cakes
Crisps
Vegan cheese
Veg sticks / hummus
Grapes / raisins / strawberries etc
Jelly
Corn flake crispy cake made with dairy free chocolate

Thank you for the suggestions, there are some really good ideas. Mum has said she'll bring something for her, I just don't want her feeling left out!

I have a dairy free chocolate for the party bag. If anyone knows any store bought cupcakes which would cater to these allergies please let me know, I don't want her to miss out on cake 😊

Check out the Free From section in supermarkets. Tesco has a good enough range of biscuits, bakes, etc.

Original flavour Pom Bears are also dairy, egg and gluten free.

Just keep all packaging for mum to see (in fact leave in packets to reduce risk of cross contamination).

Chicken pieces ( do them yourself as it’s cheaper and no more effort than the ‘free from’ stuff) , gluten free sausages, cherry tomatoes, plain crisps, cucumber, carrot sticks, celery, hummus, rice cakes, little boats of little gem leaves with tuna and chopped onion mayo ( vegan mayo), or houmous, berries, melon slices, simple sandwiches on wheat free bread, jelly and (dairy free) ice cream.

Lazyday are another brand that do free from cake/sweet type products in Sainsbury's, Tesco and other places- e.g rocky road, crispy squares
