so2go
it claims to eliminate 85% of sulphur based preservatives when added to wine.
Or is it going to make me grow an extra buttock?

The preservatives have been giving me a headache of late, it couldn't possibly be the alcohol content.

Delivery Address: In regard to the details on your website (see below - What regulations apply?) In regards to the amount not to be exceeded, is this based on the volumes per bottle or based on the max expected human consumtion? For example if you were to have 2 bottles in one evening, with two so2go's added will that exceed the authorised amount for human consumtion?

What regulations apply?

Sulphur is an authorised additive for use as an anti-oxidant in wine (including organic wines) as long as the total addition does not exceed 250mg/L and 400mg/L for certain sweet wines.
This limit is set by Foodstandards Australia and New Zealand.
Even if Sulphur Dioxide is not added to wine there will always be a small amount of Sulphur Dioxide present as it is a by-product of alcoholic fermentation.

Dear Cheribean
I have attached the wine production requirements document for your perusal. The amount of sulphur preservative in the wine when it is made is determined by the winemaker at the time. Some of the sulphur preservative is taken out upon bottling but there is always some left in the bottle which is why so2go was developed.
You can use as much so2go as you like as long as you only put one per bottle. There is no residual so2go as it is all used up in the reaction with the so2 (sulphur dioxide).
I hope this answers your questions. Please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any more.

Doesn't really answer the question...so i've sent another question asking what the content of the so2go contains!
