Is there any benefit to buying lean mince if you drain the fat off anyway?

Trying to save a few pennies and just wondered if I fry my mince and drain the fat does it make any difference if I buy "lean" or the cheaper stuff?

No, none at all

Like that (dreadful) Tesco's advert about the bacon, the value stuff is 10p, the posh stuff £onemillion, Voiceover says "same stuff but you cut the fat off"

You end up with less of it .... I find that turkey mince is cheap and healthy/

If you're going to drai the fat off then save your pennies and buy the cheaper stuff.

omdb - can you please check your work email, if no message from me please let me know (am having probs sending atm)

Anyway, I always buy the lean mince. What is the price difference, is it significant?

Thanks! Should I be leaving the fat in if I buy the lean stuff?

I find it ok ... it doesn't taste like beef mince though, it does taste chickeny
