Quite confused..what actually is healthy or non toxic cookware?

We really really need new cookware, but every time this comes around I get stressed out because every option I look at has someone saying it is toxic. What are the general guidelines? Any suggestions very gratefully received! If it makes a difference I would like something that isn’t really heavy, and DP is quite hard on pans being a fan of cooking on a high heat. Maybe he needs a couple of pans just for him, they could be heavier.

Following... I still don't like anything with Teflon coating. I suspect it sheds microplastics. Steel is fine, I reckon. Only cast iron is actually heavy.

Inert metals are the safest. Stainless steel, anodised aluminium (not ordinary aluminium). Copper lined with stainless steel is fabulous, beautiful, and priced like the heirloom it is.

Properly seasoned cast iron is excellent for most things and virtually nonstick, but must be carefully dried and occasionally reseasoned. It is heavy. I’ve heard good things about carbon steel as a lighter alternative but I don’t own any. I don’t use anything labelled ‘nonstick’.
