Hello

I need to start using my slow cooker more and I can't eat tomato sauce based dishes due to my stomach not handling it and I then get acid reflux. More creamy things suit better.

Can anyone share recipes please ? Thank you.

Roast chicken served with salad / bread or jacket potatoes and coleslaw

Beef brisket or chicken with tex mex spices and peppers so it makes a BBQ fajita type mix

Lamb or chicken with ras el hanout / Moroccan mix to add to flatbreads with hummus / salad or roasted veg

Gammon - again with salad / new potatoes / coleslaw or roasted veg and jackets

I recently discovered you can put coconut milk in the slow cooker so I am experimenting with that currently. I have a pork satay thing from boredoflunch which is a bit bland but I am going to try adding a curry paste and also to.convert my favour chicken curry recipe.

I used to do a slightly sweet chixken stew a lot. Basically chicken thighs oni9ns and veg. Flavoured with fennel seeds, star anise and cinnamon and cooked in stock with a bit of wine. Add beans or chickpeas and a bit of creme fraiche at the end.

Mix soured cream or creme fraiche with a little vegetable stock, add mushrooms, tarragon, whole black pepper and a bay leaf. Cook on low for 3h, stir, and continue cooking on low for another 1-2h.

You can use any mushrooms, whole or chunked. I particularly like it with chestnut or portobello mushrooms.

It's a very approximate recipe. If it comes out too runny it's soup with a crusty roll or wholemeal bread, if it comes out too thick and claggy it's a main dish with veg and a crusty roll or wholemeal bread.
