Poorly and need meal ideas

Me DH and adult dd have all been really poorly with the flu for nearly 2 weeks, been living off the odd slice of toast or some crackers.

yesterday we were all feeling a little better and I made some chicken noodle soup (well defrosted ) we all managed a small bowl each and agreed we felt better for it.

trouble is. It doesn’t matter what I eat my tummy still seems to be rejecting the idea of food. My dd says she can’t taste anything and is still very phlegmy but yes wants food. DH says everything smells horrid and tastes horrid and doesn’t care if he eats again (typical).

im stuck, need something nutritious but only very light and easy to prep. I have loads and loads of fresh fruit and veg as Tesco delivery was day before yesterday and I forgot to make any changes, I have some fresh chicken breast in the fridge and some bacon, loads of eggs cheese etc. all the normal cupboard stuff rice/pasta etc

i was wondering about doing some halloumi with fresh salad I have some part baked bread ? I know DH won’t like that though, I would do some pasta with it ? Or maybe something with the chicken , a stir fry sort of thing,

the only thing I’m lacking is ginger, wish I had some more fresh ginger and I’m down to my last 2 lemons but I do have some limes

Pasta and the meat/veg. Easy to prepare and nutritious

My go to poorly food is Pastina. Hard to say without knowing what veg you've got but I'd probably do another soup.

Probably a lentil and bacon and make a huge pot for a few days.
Or lemon chicken and rice soup (avgolemono)
Chicken stir fry/egg fried rice
Baked potatoes with beans and cheese
Those little mini omelette bites you make in the oven.
Pasta bake

If you want the halloumi, make that. If DH won't like it, he can make something else or not eat, he'll be fine.

Eggs might also be a good thing to have. Quick and easy to prepare and nutritious. Make omelettes with bacon and/or cheese and have with buttered toast.

Eggs are one of the first things I turn to when unwell. You can't go wrong with poached eggs on toast!
If you fancy a little more substantial a fritata with salad would be nice.

Or jacket potatoes with tuna and coleslaw.
Orzo with cherry tomatoes and bacon
Chicken and bacon salad
Lemon and herb salmon traybake

Yes I agree with eggs - scrambled egg is my favourite when under the weather.

Stir fry the chicken with some of the veg.

Beans on toast with bacon. Or simple bacon sandwiches

Make soup with the veg

Cereal I could eat for any meal of the day.

Do you have multivitamins in the house or know someone who could get you some?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, hopefully you'll all be on the mend soon and able to slowly get back to eating normally x

Plain jacket potatoes for you op and some bananas and toast while your stomach settles.

Boiled eggs.

Maybe then you could advance to some apple compote and make a rice dish with a few vegetables and a little chicken.

Maybe make a fruit salad for your dd and sh?

Soup and plain toast with the rest of the veg?

Pasta with a not too acidic vegetable sauce?

After food poisoning I went for rice based stuff as that felt better somehow, and I don't usually eat rice!
I started with plain rice and butter and then moved to adding soy sauce, then scrambled some eggs into it with a bit of stir fry veg
Also had loads of plain toast, porridge and stewed apples
