I'd like to make a recipe book for my adult children as a Christmas present each.
It's just going to be things I made when they were growing up.
I wonder if a photobook would be the easiest way to do this?
Or if I should handwrite everything in a hardcover note book?

Has anyone made a cook book for their family? How did you go about it?

Placemarking, as I'm planning to do something similar!

I had a handwritten one after I got married (50 years ago 😱). I divided it up into a few sections, for mains, puddings etc. I got a bit fed up writing it though, and ended up cutting recipes out of magazines and sticking them in. Still got it. Now it's easier to save recipes on the ipad or take a photo. Technology makes us lazy!
nice idea for a present though OP.

I have one in a folder, typed up and print - I add notes etc but it's for my use as I'm forgetful and will forget and adjust recipes to our tastes.
I'm pretty confident my kids will use it in the future!!
Didn't think to make it into actual book.

We have 'The Brown Book'! It's a hardback spiral bound (brown!) scrapbook that I have stuck in recipes from magazines, online etc. When my eldest moved out I made him a copy adding favourite recipes from cookbooks. Now younger son will be flying the nest I had better get cracking on another one!

I've helped my mum do this. Prepared the whole book in google slides with photos and recipes laid out on each page. Then convert to pdf and upload to a printing place. We used Mixam who can print the pdf in lots of suitable formats.
