I have an 18 month old with a healthy but very restricted diet; she’s fussy and just doesn’t like fruit or vegetables apart from bananas. She does eat well at nursery (three days a week) so I’m not too stressed but just the same I am rotating the same meals.

Monday is nursery so that’s fine
Tuesday - fish cake, mash and beans or sweetcorn (she will sometimes eat a bit of sweetcorn) for lunch; Cottage pie for dinner with tomato, onion etc.
Wednesday - beans on toast for lunch, lasagne or bolognaise for dinner
Thursdays and Fridays she’s at nursery
Saturdays I usually do home made pizza for lunch and chicken curry for dinner
Sundays god knows what for lunch, today was a cheese sandwich! And chilli for dinner

Any suggestions welcomed, any veg will have to be WELL hidden!

Cauliflower or broccoli cheese
Mac & cheese
Omelette or frittata
Savoury muffins
Tuna, sweetcorn & red pepper sandwich
Tuna pasta bake
Risotto's - chicken, smoked haddock, prawn, vegetable etc
Fruit crumbles and custard (make sure fruit is cooked well, soft and not too tart)
Baked peaches (not hidden, but may prefer cooked fruit?!)
Homemade soups. Can cram the veggies in, and blend so she doesn't know they're there at all!) Also can freeze many types of soup for quick ready to go meals.
Fish pie
Salmon fillet (cooked any way)
Prawn & veg curry

Have you tried mashed vegetables instead of plain boiled, as can add a bit of butter and pepper for extra flavour?

Mashed swede
Carrot puree
Sweet potato mash
Pureed peas
Butternut squash mash

Roasted veg (?!) Roasting adds sweetness.

Thank you! I’ll keep trying - she’s rejected all mashed veg so far but I know her palate will get more varied. I did manage to get some butternut squash down her the other day.

There are some brilliant suggestions above - thank you SO much!

Shepherds pie
Mini meatballs and spagetti
Chicjen Stirfry and noodles
Butternut squash soup and dippy bread
Eggy bread
Salmon and broccolli fishcakes shaped into fishes
Cheese on toast
Dippy egg and soldiers
Fish fingers whole and baked beans and mash or sweet potato fries
Chicken goujons ans peas
Chilli and rice

Cook big florets of broccolli, cauli and carrota and let her hold and pick up and eat at her leisure

Does she like macaroni cheese? Could hide some cauliflower in it.

Do you make things like spag bol with a hidden veg sauce?
