Have plenty of savoury meals but struggling for some filling, nutritious puds. Sick of shop bought desserts etc. Im going to make a rice pudding tomorrow and am thinking homemade custard that I can have with pureed fruit or even jelly.

Please give me some other puds I could home make. Passes the time also me cooking etc

When I've worked with patients with a soft diet pretty much any cake or sponge pudding can be blended into custard or ice cream to make a nice pudding. It looks a bit messy but it tastes nice. I hope you make a speedy recovery.

Trifle or tiramisu. Although maybe alcohol-free depending on your medication etc

Chocolate mousse - there's a dark chocolate olive oil one which is nice.
Syllabub
Maybe queen's pudding? Night not be liquid enough.
The creme part of creme brulée i.e. a set homemade custard (can be done on the hob).
Parfait
What about a Basque cheesecake? I don't think it has a base but not sure if it would be too solid.
Proper full fat Greek yoghurt
A non baked cheesecake but without a base might work? Maybe with a raspberry jus or similar.

Blancmange
Mousse
Jelly with pureed fruit mixed in
Marshmallows

If you like the sound of this you can do a steamef syrup sponge in the microwave. It doesn't keep but it's pretty tasty. I'm out today but I can look up the recipe when I get home tomorrow, if that would be helpful.

If you think a simple sponge would be edible you might find American muffins would be okay - they can also be frozen and defrost in 30-40s in the microwave if you can't eat a whole batch at once.

Baked Egg custard

Bodenne · 13/01/2025 21:58

Are you trying to put weight on? I wouldn’t have thought puddings is a good way.

CornishPorsche · 13/01/2025 21:58

Custard and banana!

Longhotsummers · 13/01/2025 21:58

I made a lovely self saucing lemon pudding last night. So light and soft. It is a Nigel Slater recipe. Really delicious!

Grasmereginger · 13/01/2025 21:59
