Feeding My Daughter (20 Months)

She does enjoy food and sometimes stuffs it in. She seems confident in chewing and eating and is using her own fork/spoon albeit a bit messy.

BUT I have her on 3 meals a day now ... and she is NOT on formula milk anymore. I was finding that the formula milk was taking her appetite away (she was on Infatrini as she had fail to thrive as she has 2 holes in the heart) SO i have been taking her off that slowly.

She asks for her food begs for it when she gets it she just plays with it ... and only eats say 10% of what she gets and I am realistic with the portions... I can?t think of what to do. I don?t want her back on the Infatrini Full time but I don?t want to starve her of nutrients and vitamins either
Um help? Any suggestions ? has anyone encountered this before? She IS hungry so WHY will she not eat it up? I know she likes it as if it?s a food she does not like she spits it out straight away..

How does she seem in herself? Does she have plenty of energy, bright eyes, lively, normal to you? If so then she probably IS getting what she needs and it just seems a small amount to you. I find my toddler's appetite ebbs and flows - sometimes he eats like a horse and then can go for seemingly ages taking tiny amounts. The important thing with toddler's diets is to offer a healthy varied diet and then stand back and leave them to it - they will not (generally) starve themselves. If however, your gut instinct is telling you there is a health reason behind the not eating then there would be no harm in taking her down the GP to be reassured.

Yea she is full of beans ... as always never ever stops for a second.

She gets all sorts of different things so I guess I will have to wait and see.
