What are your favourite pottery items?

Posting here as I assume many foodie MNetters will also have a good collection of nice bowls, mugs and other kitchen ceramic items.
I want to invest in a few pieces from Emma Bridgewater and Cornishware but struggle to bite the bullet as they are so so ££££ and I fear I will never end up using them to avoid breaking them.
Do you have some favourite pottery pieces and if so, where did you get them/what do you use them for?
Photos please :)

Deep rectangular baking dishes - for lasagna, pasta bakes, baked veg etc
Various jugs for cream, custard, gravy and bunches of flowers.
Teapot
Mugs
Pasta bowls for pasta, curry, chilli etc, sloppy dinners eaten with a fork.
Deep bowls for microwaving porridge so it doesn't spill over
Butter dish
Spoon rest
Big salad bowls
Egg cups

Lots is Bridgewater bought in the sale or as seconds. Plus Poole Pottery, Bordallo Pinheiro and other pieces picked up in charity shops and on holiday.

Emma Bridgewater has a Black Friday sale on. It's definitely worth a visit to the factory. You can have a factory tour and lunch and buy from the first or seconds shops.

Having said that my favourite piece is probably a roasting dish from Portmeirion but there's nothing stopping you from visiting their factory shoot if you're coming to Emma Bridgewater Wink

A friend of mine has a beautiful collection of Polish pottery. There are a few suppliers in the UK but I have used polkadotlane when I've bought something for her.

Mugs, mortar and pestle, deep casserole all from independent potters.
Mugs and tableware from anywhere I see ones I like, ideally outlet shops, sales, TK Maxx.

I forgot that we have some pieces which we live from a Welsh independent potter, Glosters.

For any mumsnetters that like pottery and like to support independent makers check out Potfest. They have events around the country with a wide range of makers.

They really are. I think one of DDs favourite things is her bowl with chopsticks Wink

For my 40th birthday, my sister organised various friends and family to buy me my preferred dinner set - basically she set it up so people could spend as little as £20 or as much as they wanted. Hilariously, the pieces I love the MOSt and use all the time, are ramekin-sized bowls. I subsequently have somehow collected a bunch of other similar bowls. I use them all the time,

I've also got some lovely small serving bowls that SIL got me from TK Maxx that are colourful and bright and again, I use them constantly - great for htings like tacos with avocado in one, salsa in one, grated cheese in one etc.

My other abssolute favourite is a beautiful hand painted platter that I bought from a specialist store a few years ago. It's big, it's a beautiful size and shape and the hand painted flowers totally work for me. I have a much smaller, not painted but some fancy designer platter that a friend bought me years ago and I love as well.

my point is that it's completely random. Sometimes you know in advance it will be something you love. sometimes you don't. Not that helpful for you, I know.
