Mine is spicy steak tagliatelle, it's quick and easy, but everyone who I make it for always enjoys it and goes back for more.

DH's is chicken and asparagus risotto.

Oriental honeyed pork from the Hamlyn All Colour Cookbook from the 70s. It was Mary Berry's first foray into cookbooks and the first cookbook my mum bought as a newlywed in 1974.
and it's been a staple in our family ever since, everyone I give it to loves it. We have it for anything from a weeknight dinner to the family party we had in the church hall to celebrate their ruby wedding.
I recommend it to you all. This is a blog post with the recipe in https://carolbeckerman.wordpress.com/2011/02/04/oriental-honeyed-pork/

Oriental honeyed pork

My dear next door neighbour and friend has asked me for a recipe that uses pork fillet. I told her that this is one I have been cooking for years and years, and it never lets me down. You can serve…

My cottage pie. It has loads of onion in, and the gravy is made with ale and I use the strongest cheddar I can find in the mash.

Everyone raves about it. I'd prefer they raved about something I put more effort into like a curry or pasta sauce.

RedPesto Chicken served with rice.

I just marinate the Chicken breath (cubes or whole) for 20 minutes and fry it off with peppers & onions. Then make a sauce by adding some veg stock and cream. Quick, easy tasty, can be made in advance and frozen (without the cream) - my go to for crowd feeding!
If I want a luxury twist, I add some tiger prawns to the mix.

It's an autumn one. Wild boar in red wine (sort of boar bourguignon) with mushrooms and chestnuts. Bit of dark chocolate grated into the sauce with a tiny sprinkle of chilli flakes. Served with potato and celeriac puree (vegetables cooked in milk, which means standing over them to ensure they don't catch on the bottom of the saucepan, but well worth the effort) and a steamed green vegetable.

I'd like to think it's my beans with a homemade tomato sauce. Similar to baked beans.
