Overnight Oats

I used to have a brilliant overnight oats recipes but can no longer find it. I’ve tried a new recipe out this weekend and it was a bit rubbish - double the milk to oats and a heaped spoon of yoghurt. I want something a bit creamier where the oats feel more plump vs chewy - if that makes sense! Does anyone have a good recipe that they’d recommend?

Yes - the fast 800 one is good.

When I make mine I do full fat Greek yogurt and small oats mixed well (usually like a 1:4 ratio, 4 being the yogurt) you can put frozen fruit in to defrost in it overnight so it makes it more runny. I love blueberries or small orange pieces in mine. I never use milk.

If you look on a website called My Protein they do some zero carb zero sugar syrups, the butterscotch one is delicious, I sometimes mix a dollop of this in.

Have you tried blending the oats? Make as usual with whatever recipe and ingredients, just blend the rolled oats in to oat flour. It's a creamier rather than chewy texture. I prefer the chewy rolled oats myself, but I sometimes blend for some variety. If you ever bake your oats it's a more cakey texture too so it's like eating cake for breakfast!

I use kefir and a teaspoon of chia seeds to get my preferred texture then some fruit and seeds on top.

I cover the oats with milk then add a tablespoon of compote (peach is fave) and same of Greek yogurt

Agree- has to be full fat greek yogurt. More yogurt than oats. I put frozen blueberries in and a tsp of honey. I also sprinkle pumpkin seeds. It is delicious.

Looking at the above replies, I think I may go a bit overboard on the yogurt! But it’s yummy.
I use 30g oats, 120g Greek yogurt (zero fat fage), half teaspoon sweetener either sugar or honey, 40 ml milk and a grated apple, topped with some seeds or nuts
Add sprinkle of cinnamon and sultanas for an apple crumble vibe
or some frozen cherries and half a teaspoon of cocoa powder for a chocolatey hit
or chopped oeaches and topped with toasted sliced almonds for a summery taste.
No need to leave overnight, tastes great after just a couple of hours. Also great if left longer but I’m usually rubbish about prepping the evening before.

I sometimes soak mine in drinking yoghurt, which leaves the oats nice and plump. Then add fruit (put frozen in overnight to defrost).

I do oats, splash of milk or kefir, Greek yoghurt, scoop of protein powder and fruit. The protein powder sweetens it and obviously adds protein so it’s super filling.
