Lunchbox egg muffins- food poisoning risk?

Looking for ideas for my son’s school lunch. He loves cheese and ham sandwiches / wraps but trying to find other ideas.

Ive seen lots of egg muffins suggested but isn’t that a food poisoning risk in a lunchbox? He would loose an ice block so don’t want to have to pack those each day.

Also dumb question but should bagels be toasted first?

I don’t think you need to worry about egg muffins any more than you would if he had cheese or ham in his sandwiches. Is his lunchbox insulated?
How about freezing a drink to put in the lunchbox instead of an ice block? Or if not a drink, then a Frube or yogurt pouch perhaps.
And bagels definitely do not need to be toasted.

It's no different to a sandwich, my kids take them all the time. I might stick a frozen frube in if it's hot.

Re the bagels I wouldn't toast them if not eating straight away.

Thanks everyone was slightly worried about making him ill, which wouldn’t be a great start to school 😀
I don’t really eat bread hence the bagel question.
Next silly question, any tips for keeping wraps from unravelling? I tried a ‘sticky seal’ but it doesn’t seem to work.

Use foil or a waxed cotton sheet to keep your wrap assembled.
Frozen frube is a good way to keep the lunch cool.
At DD's primary school everything that came in the lunchbox went home - no bins. So you can check what's been eaten but also meant cool packs did come back generally.

Don't overfill the wrap and roll like a burrito. Wrap in foil / beeswax wrappers.

Whenever you have pasta for dinner, cook a bit extra for a pasta salad in the lunchbox the next day.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone

I use cream cheese or hummus as glue on wraps it works very well.

Pitta is a good one - sliced and filled.

Moisten the edge of the wrap, roll it up, wrap in silver foil.

Or use a Crimpit
