How would I make a Pad Thai like the takeaway?

We love pad thai (no egg, but with veg and tofu) from our favourite take away. It's one of the few things that my kids will eat too. Would love to replicate it at home, but so far any attempts have been poor! Are there any decent recipes out there? I'm not even sure which noodles to use (presumably not egg ones, as the pad thai at our take away is vegan when we order without the egg). And the sauce/marinade?? I'm guessing that's the special bit that makes the difference....

I use the Wagamama recipe in one of their books.
I think it is online too.
It's very good, I like it more than in restaurants because I can control the amount of chili.
(Post Covid I can no longer tolerate chili)
