Or do I have to ensure I work out my rising, proving and baking times to fit in with getting all the other food ready plus the kids in bed, house cleaned, myself beautified etc etc?

It is a mozzarella cherry toms and basil and I simply neeeeed to make it!

Yes, part-baking would work, I should think. I would want to bake it long enough so that it is not browned but the crust is firm enough to not collapse and end up all wrinkly. It wouldn't be quite as good as fresh but would still be better than bought.

Since it is fancy bread, I should think that if it did collapse and go wrinkly (worst case scenario) you could put something decorative on the top to disguise it.
