Don't laugh! Jacket pot advice pl

OK, I'm crap at doing jackets in my fan oven. Always hard as rock so have given up and always microwave them.
Now I have a last minute nightmare on hands - 8 kids for dinner due to emergency - and all I have is jackets - too many to micro.
Any suggestions for doing them in my fan oven? What setting do you use? How long do you leave them in for?

One hour at 180, but check in case your oven does them a bit different.

microwave then wrap in foil and place in oven on low till the rest are done

wrap them in oiled foil before cooking them.

In my fan oven - 1 hr at 180 - 200, and I stab them with a fork all over, rub them with olive oil, stick them on skewers and cook them in a big roasting tin. They come out dark and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy within, mmmm....
Fan ovens are rubbish aren't they? I'm definitely going back to gas next time...

Thank you, thank you. I quite like the fan oven for everything else but jackets.
Anyway, as a failsafe, I've got the kids concocting all sorts of various fillings even if the potatoes are crap:- chilli con curry, spaghetti bolognaise a la tuna mayo, all sorts.
Thanks!

I think smaller potatoes are nice baked - you get much more crispy skin that way plus of course faster to cook.

To help them cook quicker, thread a metal skewer through them - it helps to conduct the heat faster.
