The girls don't point and "ih" up here! Set of tough little buggers. I'd just ignore them if they did that.

LOL at this turning into a "cod's sarnies must be shit/she must scare the girls" thread

Fairy bread - it looks soooo pretty and the kids loved it at DS's party. (combination of brown and white bread buttered with margarine and sprinkled with hundreds and thousands.) Can cut into shapes if you like but we just did triangles. Don't remember ever having this at parties when a kid, and an Aussie friend introduced me to it. Kids loved it!

Party rings great idea. If you can be bothered making biccies and cutting in shape relevant to party and icing them is fun. They go really fast but in the end they will probably like Party rings just as much. For added fun, you can tie the party rings to string and get the kids to eat them off the string without using their hands! Fave party game in our house.

Loads of crisps.

Some fruit chopped up.

Popcorn.

She's a knob isn't she

but I am fond of her, like I'm fond of my mad Great Aunt Monica who goes to spread the word of the Lord in Outer Mongolia (seriously)

I bought a ready cooked chicken for dd's party last year and took it apart and put on a plate. It was a success and it all went.

I try to do half healthy and nice food and half crap but nice food. So its a mixture of chicken, cucumber, grapes, strawberries, sandwiches, oranges cut up, cherry tomatoes and then chocolate fingers, jam tarts, crisps, sausage rolls etc.

Homemade (for LW's) chicken nuggets?

Traffic light jellies? Look v.impressive!

I made some white choc rice crispy cakes one year that went down really well.

If you're feeling lazy, buy shop fairycakes and decorate them at home. Look great, and no effort!

I may be a bit late, but marshmallows dipped in chocolate go down well, and not too footery.

Fruit kebabs are always popular here. Satay sticks threaded with strawberries, grapes, chunks of melon/pineapple etc, with a marshmallow at each end.

Fairy bread is a party staple here in NZ, quickest way to make it is to put 100s and 1000s in shallow bowl and dip the buttered bread into it.

Good lord, I haven't seen one of those for years.

Lol at fairy bread - in Clive's James autobiography his friend eats it because he's neglected!
