Is a Nutri-bullet a good buy?

15 yr old is making a lot of smoothies. He's using my crappy old stick blender which is very old and temperamental. Wondering about getting a proper smoothie maker. Is Nutri-bullet good? Any advice or suggestions about what to look for / avoid? Are they all much the same?

get a Ninja one. They're really fantastic. Makes good smoothies and fab pina coladas

I got a ninja one, used it twice and it now gathers dust because it's so fucking loud.

We've got a nitri bullet and love it. I use it for smoothies most days and it encourages me to make them when I wouldn't have done previously. Relatively easy to clean too. And not too loud. And v quick.

Thanks all. I don't think I'd mind it being loud. Will investigate Ninja and Nutribullet and be guided by price.

I've had the ninja one for years, it's v loud and we don't use it often but absolutely fantastic at smoothies and sorbets. The stick blender only comes out for soups, where the ingredients are already soft.

I have a nutribullet and I genuinely love it. I use it for loads of stuff, pancake mix, sauces, making breadcrumbs, smoothies etc. I wouldn't be without mine now

We have had a nutri bullet and now a ninja, the ninja is loud but awesome, absolutely love it.

I love our nutribullet and would replace immediately if it broke. Ours is over 10 years old and works perfectly still.

We use for making sauces, soups, nut butters, fresh milkshakes, waffle and pancake batters, etc.

Dontsparethehorses · 24/03/2024 06:07

Our ninja is loud but used daily by dh and still going strong after 6+ years

Wr have a very basic nutri bullet and it's brilliant for smoothies. It takes up v little space and we use it a few days a week. To make enough smoothie for 3 people takes less than a minute

Citronellaawesome · 24/03/2024 16:35

Highly recommend nutribullet. Used daily for smoothies. Simple and quick to use and clean and very powerful.

I got a ninja blast (the portable one) and I love it. It comes to work if I haven’t made anything else for lunch, but it’s only big enough for one.

I tend to look for the most powerful motor for my budget and the Ninja worked out best value when I bought my daughter one for Christmas.

We have a nutribullet and as above its fab. Takes up barely any room and works so well. Use it regularly, so easy to clea too!!

PermanentlyTired03 · 08/04/2024 17:41

Nutribullet are great. We got ours on offer at Robert days I think. Started off using it for smoothies, but now use it for
sauces, pesto, soups, and making breadcrumbs and cheesecake bases. Blends everything quickly and ours is 10years old and still going strong.

Cellotapedispenser · 08/04/2024 19:03

Another vote for the ninja. I had a nurtribullet but the twisty bit bust twice and I thought it might be dangerous. The ninja feels more solid.
