Quick (but yummy) mealtime ideas for 10mo

Have decided to stop being a bad mother and giving dd 'nasty' jars, esp as she has 'real' food at nursery. Got some lunch ideas, but am really strapped for time when I get in from work.

Has anyone got any suggestions for quick and nutritious mealtime ideas?

Will be watching for the replies PJ because I feel exactly the same.

I think we have been lucky so far that they eat the jars!

C always has a sandwich tea but I think he may be getting fed up of cheese spread!

Well i am no chef so i mainly batch cook from the Annabel karmel book (mostly on weekends and bung in freezer, most doesn't take as long as you think it might)and we are in the habit now of making a few thing on each weekend, once we got into the habit it wasn't so bad.

on the spot things G has include cauli cheese, mashed beans on toast, avocado and banana mashed up together, jacket spud flesh with cheese, omlette with stuff like peas, chicken, sweetcorn, mushroom

I have started using the slowcooker a lot but then i have time to prep the food in the morning, I also use steamer and handblender a lot too

Mashed sweet pot with creme fraiche and peas

DD used to love pasta whizzed up with some leeks, mushrooms, smoked salmon fried in a little butter and stirred in creme fraiche. S Salmon is quite salty so only a little. Also good with smoked trout.

I used to make a massive shep pie at the weekend and then freeze and dish out accordingly.

Cous cous is really quicik. Mashed potato (inside of a jacket) with cheese and a bit of steamed veg. Pasta with melted cheese and a bir of pesto. Sandwiches, cheese on toast, pasta with tuna(spring water stuff not brine). Scrambled eggs. Hummus on pittas. Pittas with tomato puree/paste cheese (pizza-esque?)

To be honest, I spend Saturday morning every three or four weeks cooking stuff (last lot: moussaka, beef casserole, chicken casserole, chicken ciaccatore, lentil and veg)and freezing it, also save stuff from our meals, eg bolognaise, cauliflower cheese, fish pie, roast dinners, and mash up a bit, but then I don't really use any salt in my cooking (still tastes nice, because we're used to it!)
