…do all the preparation, ie prepare the egg mixture and parboil the vegetables, then assemble when I get in?
I am going to be busy this evening so I would like to eat as soon as possible after walking the dog.

Both DW and I bought a dozen eggs the other day so I think a frittata is a very good idea as I also have asparagus and new potatoes in.

My question, as above, is prepare and cook before said walk then reheat or prepare then assemble?

I have been cooking for myself, my family, friends etc for nearly 50 years but today my brain is definitely on strike. I don’t feel well so please MN cooks help me to decide!

By the way DW is working late otherwise she would be cooking the eggs!

Definitely wouldn’t reheat a frittata - I imagine it would go all rubbery and unappetising 🥴

Just do all the prep in advance (including potatoes) and cook later.

I’ve only eaten it freshly made, but my son will often take it to work and zap it in the microwave, he says it’s fine, just not quite as good as fresh.

i think if it was me I would prep and make fresh to eat hot, or cook and eat cold tonight.

Cook it and eat cold but it doesn't exactly take a long time to cook from the beginning.

Actually how long is the walk? Cook, wrap well and it will be the right temp to eat. I would never eat frittata hot hot, always leave it to settle for a bit.

You can eat it cold. It's just the inside of quiche if you think about it.

Nice big slice with salad.

I should have said that I don’t really like cold food… yes, I know it’s weird.

I think I will do the preparation, then assemble and cook while I sort myself out.

Thank you for your thoughts, my brain is as scrambles as the eggs I will be having to use the stash up!
