Live lobster into a pan of boiling water.

Serve with melted butter.

Boil them in salty water and then cut them in thick pieces. In a pan fry a little bit of onion in chunks and some garlic with butter and add some white wine and a good can of tomatoes, add the lobster, some parseley put it all in a nice tray and sprikle some parmesan on top and put it in the oven, it looks great and tastes fantastic.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I competely forgot about this thread - DH asked me 5 minutes ago when I was going to surprise him with the Lobster meal .

Thanks, but I really don't think I could cook a live Lobster (I know, I know), i might take him out to a fancy restaurant instead, at least I won;t be the one killing the bloody thing. .

M&S do ready cooked lobster in my local store. It's expensive but lobster always is.
Do you have a Loch Fyne near you - they always have it on the menu. I love it!

p.s. some advocate that you can knock the poor lobster out by putting it in the freezer which is apparently gentler (not sure freezing alive sounds that much kinder than being boiled alive but it's meant to be)
