Tortilla - fry off potatoes and onions with a clove of garlic until soft and then add some beaten eggs with lots of salt and black pepper. Transfer to oven and bake for 30mins or so.

Yum, yum!

Or just give the eggs a miss and make stovies! But no-one makes them quite like my mum does

Pasta with a couple of dollops of pesto paste, easy and cheap, add some cream if you are feeling flush. Sald if you are feeling flash .

MmeCEggsandeateggs · 22/03/2008 22:26

Pasta with Brie/Camembert (cheapest) and tomatoes

While pasta is cooking, saute 1 chopped onion and 1 crushed clove garlic for few mins, then add 4 roughly chopped tomatoes. Stir in 1-2 tbsp of pasta's cooking water. Then stir in drained pasta, and finally, the chopped up brie.

MmeCEggsandeateggs · 22/03/2008 22:28

or Frittata/tortilla - fry any left over veg (courgette/mushrooms/onion/potatoes etc) then add beaten eggs. Cover to cook top, or do this under the grill.

Omelettes with loads of inion and mushrooms in it. Maybe some melted cheese in the middle. Can't cost more than 50p a portion. Boys always eat the lot too.
