Rhubarb looking dried out? Can I use in crumble

I cut some rhubarb up to use in crumble, put it in the fridge and then promptly forgot about it.

It looks very shrivelled now. Can I still use it do you think or should I just bin it?

Yes of course you can still use it.

Of course use it. Just put a little splash of water over it before the crumble topping. I chuck any old shite in a crumble and they always turn out beautifully.

Of course you can

Even if it's not good enough for rhubarb crumble, it's always good enough for rhubarb gin.

Wattleanddaub · 03/02/2024 17:20

Thanks everyone. I'll give the crumble a try after all!

it will be fine, rhubarb gives out so much juice when cooking you probably won't need any extra water

Absolutely fine, I always cut rhubarb and leave it sit out overnight to dry out a little before making pies as it means a little less juice, often left it a couple of days especially with very fresh stuff.
