Diluted Juice for 2-3 month old

I have been following the Gina Ford contented baby book, and she now mentions using diluted peach juice - my daughter is definitely not keen on water. I could only find Cow & Gate juice which is from 4 months onwards. I feel slightly reluctant to start giving my daughter juice at such a young age, especially if it says from 4 months onwards. Does anyone know of any sugar free peach juice or other, or have any other ideas of what they use.

Forgot to add, neonatal units use sucrose solution (very concentrated sugar water)as an analgesic before doing invasive things such as blood tests. Sorry, I can't produce the reference, but research has shown that it reduces the amount of pain a baby appears to be in. Ok, difficult to quantify, I know, but they measured things like heart rate, respiratory rate, pitch and length of crying, and found these to be reduced compared to babies who weren't given sucrose.

Full excerpt from GF is on page 45 and page 154. "Not one of the babies I have cared for has suffered from colic and I am convinced that it is because I structure their feeding and sleeping from day one. When I do go in to help an older baby who is suffering from colic it seems to disappear within 24 hours of them being put on the routine. With babies that are feeding two to three times a night, depending on their age and weight I either cut out the feeds altogether or reduce to one a night. When the baby wakes in the night I would give him 120ml (4oz) of cool boiled water with 1/2 tsp of sugar to settle him. At this stage, I find plain water does not have the same effect". Second reference however refers to giving six month "Molly" two dosed of sugared water although in this case there is no mention of her suffering from colic.

So in the first instance she says that colic is cured by her routines NOT sugar and in the second case, she advises giving sugar although the baby does not suffer from ccolic (but is underweight).

And meant to add in the colic chapter she goes on to add "Depending on their age they are given eith er a fedd or sugar water, A baby of 3 months or older who is capable of going from the last feed through to 6am or 7am should be given sugar water for a week"........ "I cannot streess trongly enough that the success of this method very much depends on the use of the sugar water during the first week", I am not sure why the sugar water method works; it is a tip I picked up from an older maternity nurse over 25 years ago and it has never failed me". She then goes to quote a research study by a Doctor in Brisbane Australia which apparently showed that some babies suffering from colic can be helped by the sugar water solution.
