Couscous flavouring?

Years ago, Tesco used to sell couscous flavouring - literally put a couple of pinches of it in. It was sold in pots like dried herbs and there were three flavours, but has been discontinued in recent years. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and have you been able to find a quick, easy alternative? If not, what's a quick, easy way to flavour couscous? I literally want to add some boiling water to a jug with couscous and stir something in, wait five mins and voila.

Marigold bouillon is good

Soak clove of garlic in juice of half a lemon for few minutes. Remove garlic before you chuck lemon juice in the couscous with the water

I know the exact stuff you mean! I haven’t seen similar but it feels like the kind of thing Waitrose would have in their Ingredients range.

Try looking in TK Maxx, they often have herb blends that would work. I usually use them over vegetables to roast, but would work nicely in couscous.

Quick and easy - make up the water with a stock cube. Chicken is our preferred one.

Bouillon in the boiling water and then lemon, coriander and feta. For a meal I also add grilled prawns and sun dried tomatoes.

I like to add some lemon zest and a little bit of finely chopped mint. I also use chicken or veg stock cubes in my water if not doing the above.

Thank you. 🙏

I use a tablespoon of curry paste (the ones in a jar) with the boiling water, and then a squeeze of lime juice once it’s absorbed the water.

I do a combination of the above - strong chicken stock from a cube, bit of lemon juice and some dried parsley. It's really nice!

Salty butter and lots of it

I had never thought of doing this! I always have curry paste in! Thank you, I'm going to give this a go!
