At what age can I feed my daughter seafood? Prawns, mussels, shellfish, sushi, etc.

I was just wondering as we are going to Japan for holiday and know there is crazy good seafood there. My daughter is 5.

@JellyTipisthebest there is no way to make powdered infant formula completely free from bacteria no matter where its produced so making up with cold water is not the safest way to prepare it.

Fine to feed her raw fish. However if you want to do that, I'd give her some here in the UK first. It is possible to have an allergy that results in anaphylaxis to shell fish. It's very unlikely, but should you daughter unluckily have this, you don't want to be left with a child moments from stopping breathing, in a country that use a language you aren't familiar with, and with no idea how the medical system works.

My daughter was eating octopus in the Maldives at 2 years old. As we started her young, she's not fussy at all. We just got back from holidays and she was eating stone crab, mussels, lobster. She loves it.
