What to do with thin piece of gammon?

I had a plan to make a Nigel Slater roast gammon recipe and had ordered a 2kg boned and rolled gammon (as per recipe) from M&S to be delivered today.

Unfortunately it has been substituted with an Ocado 1.5kg bone in joint. I don't know what to do with that so went to the butcher and panic bought some bought 1.5kg rolled gammon but got home and realised it's a wide but thin slice (pic attached) and I also don't know what to do with that!

Assuming I can't boil then roast with glaze as it's too thin?!

I have googled but can't find instructions on how to cook this thing. There are lots of options but I don't know what would work best for this. Should I abandon the idea of roasting it and slice and cook as a pan fried gammon steak? Any help would be appreciated.

Also the bone in gammon is coming in the order later, I had planned to reject it but maybe I shouldn't?!

Thanks in advance

I would slow cook the thin bit. I just do my gammon with brown sugar and a teaspoon of grant mustard. No liquid at all.

I would blanch in boiling water, stuff, roll, glaze and roast, take about 45 minutes but check it's done as depends on how thick it rolls

Roll them up tightly and secure them by wrapping them in clingfilm and then pop in the freezer. They will make excellent 'log lift' exercise equipment for any overweight hamsters looking to get in shape over the festive season.
