What's a sensible late night snack?

I keep getting hungry around now, just before bed.

Last night I had biscuits and was up all night with indigestion.

Tonight I've had yogurt. Fine, but still hungry.

No. 'Nothing' is not an option. Please don't get between the angry, hungry, pregnant lady and the fridge.

dizzychixies · 15/03/2008 22:15

according to the advert, special K!! lol

Astrophe · 15/03/2008 22:16

banana? supposed to be good for indigestion, nice and filling.
Or maybe something protein-y and filling - ham sandwich/cheese sandwich/milk and banana smoothie? Cream cheese on oat cakes?

foxinsocks · 15/03/2008 22:16

nuts

horsemadgal · 15/03/2008 22:16

Oo just came on to say Special K also.
Strawberry and Chocolate ones are yummmmmy!!

madamez · 15/03/2008 22:17

Nobcheese?

forkhandles · 15/03/2008 22:17

marmite sarnie and a glass of milk - yum

BroccoliSpears · 15/03/2008 22:18

Cereal's not a bad thought. Weetabix could be good.

Anything bready is way too indigestiony. Walking too near the breadbin gives me acid reflux at the moment.

TheDuchyEggOfNorksBride · 15/03/2008 22:26

I'm currently addicted to raw carrots but I'm not getting indigestion yet. Nuts & seeds. Lump of cheese (not the nob variety). Cereal. Oatcakes.

A really big bag of salty Burts or Tyrells crisps (the salt is good for my night leg cramps and I have very low blood pressure)!

Yurtgirl · 15/03/2008 22:27

cereal is my favourite

BroccoliSpears · 15/03/2008 22:30

Now I'm reflecting on the fact that it just took a whole Mumsnet thread to help me work out I should eat a bowl of weetabix.

I think my brain is atrophying and I'm coming to rely on MN a bit too much.

Comming soon on Broccoli's next OP: I need a wee, should I go to the loo?

crackers with marmite, maybe cheese, although it may give you bad dreams.
