Absolutely no idea. Will buy food on 27th!

No leftovers as going to my parents

Cheese and lots of it.

I tend to go veg for more veg and fish.
Also try and use up any left overs.
Cauliflower and red pepper curry
Shakshuka
Thai fish cakes and salad
Proper tuna nicois with tuna steaks
Prawn linguini with chilli and garlic
At some point I make a big macaroni cheese to use up the cheese board and usually do something for myself like Stilton stuffed mushrooms as I can abide macaroni cheese.
Sage and butternut squash risotto
Any left over veg goes into soup for lunches.

Only 2 of us so I'll plan leftovers for Boxing Day bubble and squeak, then back onto normal food. Probably have a few things that take a bit longer to cook than normal though as we'll be off work, so a cottage pie perhaps, or a lasagne, rather than mince and tatties and a plate of pasta!

Neither of us feel good after too many indulgences so we keep them to "treat levels" and REALLY enjoy ourselves on a couple of days before back to the usual foods.

Leftovers and cheese, lots of cheese, and some cheese

I'm hosting Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so from 27th onwards I down tools, and everyone eats remaining buffet food/leftovers until it runs out. I deliberately over cater so that I get several days off. (I have extra things like more snacks, and more prawn rings in the freezer, more frozen puds, more part baked breads etc ), but I don't lift a finger. DH and the teens manage refilling the buffet table between them and I just relax and eat cheese and drink wine. It's great and means we end up with minimal wastage.

You are giving me some great ideas, thank you!

26th - leftovers, possibly in a puff pastry pie
27th - fish cakes and loads of veg
28th - macaroni cheese
29th - sweet & sour chicken and rice

i crave normal meals from 27th, especially as DH is back at work by then.
