Quick food ideas for a nearly one-year-old?

DD2 is currently going off the spoon fed mushed up stuff and more and more onto finger foods. Basically she eats anything, so am very lucky. Not very good at spoon feeding herself yet...

Just a bit clueless about the sort of things she should be eating now. Been ten years since my last one did this... any help gratefully received!

I currently give her quick things, ham sandwiches, chopped up cheese, raisins, grapes, bananas. She adores bread but I'm worried she has too much. Any other more interesting quick snacky ideas (that don't involve lots of cooking) would be great..

And I can't be bothered with Annabel Karmel, just so you know!!

DS likes falafel - I'm sure the ready-made kind isn't going to hurt once in a while...

OOh thanks. What's falafel?

Quick lunches for my 17mth old - he uses a spoon and his hands for all of these:

Scrambled eggs (sometimes with a little bit of tomato ketchup).

DS loves pasta and ASDA do tiny penne which are great for him to pick up and they cook in 5 -mins. I often serve this pasta for lunch with: fish cooked in milk and butter (in the microwave for a few mins); or just chopped toms with cheese.

Couscous is a good one. Hardly any cooking involved and can be made in minutes. I add cherry toms/chopped peppers/ham.

Jacket Potatoes (cooked in the microwave and then the filling taken out and mashed) with cheese / tuna / philly?

They take longer to cook but there is not much prep in home-made oven baked chips. Served with anything that we have in really.

pasta spirals (good to get hold of)

home made fishfingers or fishcakes (make up a batch and freeze)

My DD at that age loved sticks of cheese and cherry tomato, bread, pasta, sheperds pie, mash potato, rice and stir fry!
