Where can I get a cheap, decent sized lockable box for storing food in?

We were having a problem with the DSes helping theirsel;ves to food. A packet of biscuits would go in one sitting. SO I started storing it in a plastic box on top of the cupboard, however DS2 now climbs up teh shelves inside the cupboard to get to it.
He has taken a packet of crisps and a packet of fruit flakes today. I try not to make a big issue out of food, as I ahd the kind of parents who made me sit at the table until i ahd eaten something, even if it was cold and something they knew i didn't like. I still shudder at the thought of sitting for 3 hours at the table with a plate of cold cabbage in front of me. because of this I won't serve Ds2 mince as he won't eat it,a dn its less stressful. However, i don't like them helping theirselves to food, they wouldn't stop, just keep eating. I need somethig to store it in.

Might be cheapest to chain and padlock 2 cupboards together... or ban all items that they steal until they can 'use' them properly? (I can't think how to say what I mean [hmm}!)

I would tell them there are set times for meals and if they want any snacks they have to ask. Make sure they have enough to eat at each meal but I think saying they are stealing when they take family food is a bit OTT.

This could lead to some amusing stories. Everyone I know seems to have a food and parent related story. In our family the one that stands out was the Mystery of the Missing Beetroot. Allegedly the jar had been much fuller the previous day. Evidence (a purple vinegar ring where the jar had been previously) suggested that it had been consumed straight from the jar and then moved. We all sat silently around the kitchen table until someone was ready to confess.

DH tells a similar story about a half full glass of flat cherryade.
